Public invited to watch Women's Division 1 soccer game at LTCC

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Head out to Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) on Monday, August 7 at 3 p.m. when Saint Mary's College meets the University of San Francisco in a pre-season exhibition game. It will be a great time to watch Division 1 soccer!

Saint Mary's Head Coach Theresa Romagnolo brings the Gaels Women's soccer team to Lake Tahoe for a pre-season team game and retreat.

Coach Romagnolo is the wife of Alex Romagnolo who grew up in South Lake Tahoe before graduating from South Tahoe High and playing soccer at the University of San Diego.

Coach Romagnolo was hired by St. Mary's in January 2020 to take over the women's soccer program and led the Gaels to a 10-4-4 record in her first full season last year. She has had head coaching duties at Notre Dame and Dartmouth, as well as being the assistant coach at both Stanford and San Diego. The University of Washington alum was a standout college player and named all-conference all four years. She was an All-American and Scholar Athlete All-American, as well as helping her team win the Pac-10 Championship in 2000. She graduated in 2001 with a degree in business and played in the professional WUSA league for the San Jose CyberRays until 2003.

She and Alex have two daughters.
