Actress-Comedian Whitney Cummings brings brassy styling to Lake Tahoe's MontBleu

Event Date:
August 9, 2013 - 9:00pm

The brassy comedian, notable TV star and talk show host, Whitney Cummings, will bring her barbed, observational delivery style to Lake Tahoe’s MontBleu Resort, Casino & Spa for a night of laughs, Aug. 9.

With model looks and real life experience on the catwalk, Cummings isn't one for silently posing in the background. Fans of stand-up and sketch comedy will get a dose of the wild side from Whitney's take on women, men and relationships in this one-night-only, doubled-over laughter retreat on the MontBleu Theater stage. The mature-audience-only show begins at 9 p.m. with tickets at $45 to $55 available through Ticketmaster.com or the MontBleu Box office, 888-829-7630.

Cummings has appeared across-the-board on the comedy circuit — from a cast member of MTV's "Punk'd" to appearing alongside comedienne Chelsea Handler on the talk show "Chelsea Lately." She was also the star, writer and creator of NBC's "Whitney" and co-creator of CBS's "Two Broke Girls."

She has appeared on Comedy Central, most notably having roasted several celebrities, including Joan Rivers and Donald Trump. In 2007 she was named one of Variety's Top 10 Comics to watch and in 2009 she was named one of Entertainment Weekly's "Comedy Stars of Tomorrow."

As an actress she co-starred in "Made of Honor" with Patrick Dempsey among many projects. Before she became an actress and comedian she worked as a model.
