South Lake Tahoe students head back to the classroom on Monday

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - It's back to the classroom on Monday for students in the Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD). To start the year, so far, there are 3,651 students, almost equal to last fall when there were 3.649 students when the October figures were calculated. There are now 40 students who live in Nevada attending California schools, up from 31 last school year and 33 from the 21/22 school year.

School Times and Bus Schedules

Meyers Grades K-5, start at 8 a.m. and end at 2:20 p.m.

Sierra House Grades K-5, start at 8:05 a.m. and end at 2:25 p.m.
Tahoe Valley Grades TK-5, start at 8:05 a.m. and end at 2:25 p.m.
Bijou GRADES Grades TK-5, start at 8:10 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m./TK ends at 12:10 p.m. daily
South Tahoe Middle School Grades 6-8, start at 8:55 a.m. and end at 3:10 p.m.
South Tahoe High School Grades 9-12 start at 8:45 a.m. and end at 3:35 p.m.
Mt. Tallac High School Group 1 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Group 2 starts at 9:55 a.m. and ends at 1:15 p.m.

Staffing

The transportation department is fully staffed this year, with a few openings in other departments: Custodial- 3, Food Services- 1, Maintenance- 2 (1 of them is temporary), Secretarial- 1, Confidential Specialist- 1, Instructional Aides (Sped and General)- 16, and Certificated- 1.
