Event Date:

Organizers had a vision when they created WordWave for it to become an annual cultural event at beautiful Lake Tahoe. The underlying principle of WordWave is that stories—in song, theater, oral tradition, and books—change lives. Every culture uses story to entertain, educate, preserve history and tradition, and connect

WordWave also seeks to establish the Tahoe region as a high-profile literary destination. South Lake Tahoe and the Tahoe Basin are home to amazing creative talent: award-winning writers, artists, and storytellers live and play here. Every day, they are transforming our community with their words. WordWave will provide a venue for locals and visitors alike to share their stories and validate their creativity, an annual gathering where anyone can come, create, and be inspired by our lake.
