Safe Trick or Treat for kids on Halloween at Heavenly Village

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - All kids are invited to the Heavenly Village on Halloween for a fun trick-or-treating event with 50 candy stops, a bounce house and slide, and a $1,000 costume contest.

The Shops at Heavenly Village has partnered with the South Tahoe Chamber to provide the free event. South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue with their fire truck and South Lake Tahoe Police Department will also be there to hand out candy and stickers.

“It is vital to have a safe trick or treat for kids in our community," said Gary Casteel, CEO of Trans Sierra Events, Shops at Heavenly Village. "I am very proud of all the shops and organizations who volunteered and agreed to pass out candy for the kids. It is truly going to be an incredible event.”

Besides the candy stops at shops with community organizations, and inflatable fun, the event will also include zombie DJs and live music
from Ted Kennedy and the residents.

Additionally, showing in the LOFT live theater, a special decorated Halloween matinee of Magic Fusion at 4:30 p.m. Furthermore, making their

The $1,000 costume contest is scheduled for the main stage at 6:30 p.m. There will be different categories for the kids.

The Shops at Heavenly didn’t forget about the moms hauling around their little goblins. A “witches walk” is also on the docket. Mom’s dress to
impress in your best Halloween costume for your chance to win great prizes.

“We don’t do anything small at the Heavenly Village. I want this to be the biggest and best trick-or-treat event ever to hit the South Shore. The kids in our community deserve it! I want to thank the village shops and all who are supporting our kids,” said organizer Dreu Murin.

The event is free and open to the public from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. in the Heavenly Village. Parking is available in the parking garage off of Bellamy Way for free from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
