SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A 28-year-old local man will be spending the next 16 months in state prison after being convicted of Felony Possession of Child Pornography.
Nicholas Anthony Rumble was initially arrested in April 2018 on drug charges and booked into the El Dorado County jail in South Lake Tahoe. When he was arrested, Rumble had a tablet on him that he asked to be released to his family. When they picked up the tablet from jail, they accessed it and found the contents to contain child pornography. The family reported to the South Lake Tahoe Police what they had found, and a subsequent forensic examination of the tablet found a substantial amount of child pornography.
This case was investigated by the South Lake Tahoe Police Department and prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Casey Mandrell.
Rumble's official judgement and sentencing date is November 5, 2018. Upon release he will have to register as a sex offender.
