NDOT seeks public's input on draft One Nevada Transportation Plan

The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is seeking public input on the draft One Nevada Transportation Plan which will guide future Nevada transportation investments and strategies.

NDOT closely coordinates with partner agencies to prioritize transportation needs and expectations. The One Nevada Transportation Plan is a unified plan that brings the entire state together with one clear focus on transportation for the next 20 years and beyond.

They have gathered information on the most important priorities for future Nevada transportation improvements, system goals, as well as funding, and the information was incorporated into the draft plan. The public is now invited to provide input on the planning framework described in the plan.

Interested stakeholders can visit www.onenvplan.com to review and comment on the draft plan before it is finalized. All comments must be submitted before Oct. 29, 2018 via email to info@onenvplan.com or by mail to 1263 South Stewart Street, Carson City, NV 89712 ATTN: Tim Mueller, room 320. Those interested can also follow NevadaDOT on Twitter and Facebook.

The plan will be routinely updated, creating an adaptable process able to incorporate future technological advances and needs.

“Whether enhancing transportation safety, reducing congestion and travel times, expanding the transportation system, maintaining and repairing the state’s infrastructure or providing more transportation choices, we want to know what is most important to all of those using Nevada’s transportation system,” NDOT Assistant Director of Planning Sondra Rosenberg explained. “This will help us make performance-based decisions on future transportation projects that will continue to best meet the needs and goals of the state, and most importantly meet the needs of those using the transportation system. Transportation connects us all, and the One Nevada Plan will help make more informed decisions to provide a transportation system to keep Nevada safe and connected.”
