Spirit Week at South Tahoe High starts Monday; parade and football on Friday

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - South Tahoe High School begins Spirit Week on Monday, October 2, wrapping up with the annual Homecoming Parade through South Lake Tahoe Friday and home football games Friday night.

The Spirit Schedule:

Monday - Theme: Candy Land: Sweet Dreams. Pajama Day

Tuesday - Theme: Game of Life. Wear your college/ future career gear

Wednesday - Theme: UNO. Wear a jersey (number!)

Thursday - Theme: Monopoly. Dress to impress/ dress nice! It is also Parade Prep: 3:45 p.m. - 8 p.m. All students are invited to participate in finishing decorating the floats at STHS Auto-shop.

Friday - Theme: Blue & Gold (Dress in school colors). Rally: 10:15 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. Parade: Game Night (4 p.m.: Staging at Motel 6 for walkers, the parade begins at 4:30 p.m. from the school bus garage on Al Tahoe Blvd.

Alumni and the South Lake Tahoe community are invited to join South Tahoe High students, staff, faculty, school board members, special guests, and Superintendent Cutler on Friday, October 6, 2023, for the school's annual Homecoming Parade.

The theme of this year's parade is "Family Game Night”.

The parade will start at the Lake Tahoe Unified School District bus garage on Al Tahoe Boulevard at 4:30 p.m. There will be convertibles, fire trucks, floats, utility trucks, STHS Wrestling Team Bus, and homecoming royalty starting at this location. As the parade slowly makes its way down Lake Tahoe Boulevard, they will be joined by participating walking groups as it moves by Motel 6. The parade will conclude at STHS Viking Stadium.

The Vikings Varsity football game against North Valleys begins at South Tahoe High at 7 p.m. The Junior Varsity game begins at 4:30 p.m.
