Save America Rally with Donald Trump at Minden-Tahoe Airport on Saturday

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. - The Douglas County Commissioners unanimously approved a permit during their meeting Thursday for a Save America Rally to be held at the Minden-Tahoe Airport on Saturday, October 8. While the permit is from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., doors are scheduled to open at 2 p.m.

The permit request was from the Save Amerca PAC for a political rally that will be attended by former President Donald Trump who is campaigning for GOP Senate hopeful Adam Laxalt and gubernatorial nominee Joe Lombardo.

Organizers are expecting over 10,000 people. The rally comes two years after Trump visited the same airport for a rally that attracted an estimated 25,000-plus.

Tickets are available HERE. The approved permit says Trump's airplane will arrive at 6:15 p.m. and he is scheduled to speak at 7 p.m. A pre-program starts at 4 p.m.

The permit was approved as work was starting at the airport to prepare for the event, according to the permit schedule.

The original plan was to have the rally on Sunday, but a scheduled conflict moved up the event. Trump speaks in Arizona on that day. Save America PAC will be charged $2,500 for the use of airport facilities.

The festival permit allows for an estimated 10-30 campers.
