Trick or Treat at Street Event with Tahoe Regional Young Professionals

Trick or Treat with Tahoe Regional Young Professionals (TRYP) at KRLT, 93.9, “The Lake” annual “Treat Street,” October 31. Every Halloween KRLT takes over a local motel, fills rooms with local businesses and non-profits, to hand out candy to the kids in a safe controlled environment. Thousands of children attend decked out as superheroes, princesses, magicians, monsters at Pine Cone Acre Motel at 735 Emerald Bay Road for 5 - 8 p.m.

TRYP members and volunteers will be passing out candy, serving hot coco and smore’s—in and around the haunted house. In addition, the group will have a booth this year, graciously donated by KRLT, and will coordinate set-up and break-down. TRYP is seeking more volunteers from 4 to 6 p.m. and from 7 to 10 p.m.

To volunteer e-mail TahoeTRYP@gmail.com or to donate candy please deliver to Brandi Ledbetter-Brown at Tahoe Production House, located on Hwy 50 near Tahoe Keys Café and the Car Wash. Hours of operation are from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., seven days a week.

TRYP now has t-shirts, created by Rise Design, and are available in men and women sizes for a suggested donation of $15. Proceeds will help with event coordination. Shirts are available at TRYP mixers or by contacting TahoeTRYP@gmail.com. In addition, Mick Clark of Signs of Tahoe graciously provided TRYP with a Banner.

Save the Date for Saturday, Nov. 19 when TRYP hosts their first Holiday Party with live music, fun games and great prizes as we raise money for a local family in need. TRYP is working with Tahoe Youth & Family Services to find a family with lots of kids of all ages to provide everyone with holiday gifts. More details on the family’s ages and wish list will be provided prior to the Holiday Party.
