South Tahoe Middle School 7th grade girls basketball team ends season at 10-0

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The South Tahoe Middle School (STMS) Girls’ 7th-grade basketball team, coached by Dave Finnegan and Tyler Pakes, went undefeated this season with a 10-0 record.
During the single elimination TAV-NEVA 7th grade Girl’s tournament, they also went undefeated with a 3-0 score competing against Whittell in the championship game.
The hardest competition this year during the tournament was with Whittell, and Pau Wa Lu throughout the season. The 7th grade girls’ basketball team had never played Whittell in the past and congratulations to Shauna for a great season with her 6th and 7th grade Whittell girls. The only game they played against them was the championship, which they won 25-15.
A big congratulations to the team and coaches. Besides myself, Kannon Pierce, the rest of this year's Girls’ 7th-grade basketball team are Raquel Gonzalez, Skylar Mathews, Carmen Evans, Finley Mathews, Danica Cocoletczi, Eva Gonzalez, Brooklyn Pakes, Julia Buntin, and Emily Tieslau.
