Tom Millham to receive DAR Medal of Honor

The Lake Tahoe Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) has announced that Tom Millham will be honored with the DAR Medal of Honor. This is the most prestigious honor awarded by the DAR and given to individuals who are United States citizens by birth and who have shown extraordinary qualities of leadership, trustworthiness, service, and patriotism.

The recipients must have made unusual and lasting contributions to our American Heritage by truly giving of themselves to their community, state, country, and fellowmen.

Tom has been a well-respected leader in the South Lake Tahoe community for the past 47 years. DAR recognizes him for his years of leadership and service with the Kiwanis Club, co-founding Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care, and the American Legion. In addition, Tom is being honored for his patriotism and service to his country while serving in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

Tom will be officially presented with his DAR Medal of Honor and Certificate by the California State Regent, Sharon Maas, at the Opening Night Session of the California State Society’s DAR State Conference on March 14, 2024.
