Letter: I respectfully ask for your vote for Lake Valley Fire District Board

As a resident of the District for the past 38 years, with the last 11 years serving as Director for the Lake Valley Fire District (LVFD) Board and 10 years as Chairman of Cal Tahoe JPA, our local emergency medical service (EMS) provider, I wish to leverage my experience and continue my passion for community service as a Director of LVFD. With a distinguished career in public service of over 40 years, having many years of experience in oversight and management in local Fire District some noteworthy accomplishments are:

• Championing the development of current policies, procedures and strategic planning for LVFD’s future
• Financial responsibility having made LVFD a fiscally sound public service organization

• Fostering cooperative working relationships with our neighboring agencies

As Chairman of the JPA, my goal has been to keep our existing EMS local and ensure it remains the best provider for our constituents with the goal being a fully fire-based service; one that provides constituents with personnel who are cross-trained and certified in both Fire and EMS. Believing this is the best service model for our community, I have demonstrated commitment through ensuring that constituents of our district receive the best fire and emergency service possible. Years ago my wife Pamm and I decided to make this our home, and after raising three daughters here we still think our community is one of the best places in the world to live, work and raise a family, so I wish to pay the opportunity forward to the rest of the community through continued service as your LVFD Director.

I respectfully ask for your vote this election to help me to make LVFD the best public service agency it can be and assure the future health and safety of our community.
