Arrest made in Placerville shooting

El Dorado County authorities have arrested a man after a shooting Monday night in Placerville. A 55-year-old Cirtrus Heights man was treated and is expected to survive his gunshot wound. Authorities arrested a Wamego Road man, identified as Robert Mckiernan, on suspicion of the crime, which was reported to the Sheriff's Dispatch center at around 7:30 p.m.

Man shot in Placerville

At around 7:30 yesterday evening (Monday 11/12/12) Sheriff’s Dispatch Center received calls advising that gunfire was heard in the 3600 block of Wamego Road in Placerville. Within less than 2 minutes, while deputies were responding to the location, a caller advised the Sheriff’s Dispatch Center that someone had been shot at a residence in the 3600 block.
Deputies arrived at the residence and found Danie Radasa, a 55 year old man from Citrus Heights, with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Radasa was conscious and able to walk. Deputies secured the area and obtained medical assistance for Radasa. He was eventually flown to Sutter Roseville Hospital where he is expected to survive his wound.
During the investigation deputies were advised that Robert Mckiernan, a resident of 3623 Wamego, had shot Radasa and then fled the area. At the time of the shooting, Radasa had been at the Wamego residence to visit his daughter, Mckiernan’s girlfriend.
Mckiernan was later located at Marshall Hospital in Placerville, where he was requesting treatment for minor injuries. Mckiernan was treated and released. He is under arrest and is currently talking to investigators.
