Tahoe casinos "win" figure $19.4 million in October

Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,315,114,434 for October 2023, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board's monthly report released Thursday. This amounts to a 2.69 percent increase compared to the same month a year ago when licensees reported a gaming win of $1,280,702,499. For the fiscal year to date, the gaming win has increased by 2.85 percent with $5,198,575,459 in "win".

The "gaming win" represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.

For Lake Tahoe's south shore, the "win" revenue was $17,539,3333.42, down 5.66 percent from October 2022's $18,160,814. For their fiscal year (since July 1), revenue win is down by 6.61 percent as compared to the previous period. The South Shore fiscal year win to date is $101,328,344.

On the south shore, $2,224,000 came from table games and $15,315,000 from slots.

Carson Valley area casinos reported an $11,329,244 gaming win, down 5.45 percent. On the North Shore, the reported gaming win of $1,897,535 was down 4.76 percent.

Casinos in Reno, Sparks, and other areas of Washoe County saw gaming-related revenue increase over last year collectively by 4.95 percent with a "win" of $96,001,687.

Las Vegas/Clark County casinos had a "win" of $1,137,337,936, up 2.94 percent over the same month last year.

For the fiscal year to date, Nevada has collected $415,169,087 in percentage fees.
