LAKE TAHOE, Nev. - Xtreme International Ice Racing is headed to the Tahoe Blue Event Center on Friday, February 2 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, February 3 at 3 p.m. The racing event is presented by Reno Cycles & Gear. The action-packed event has racers going 0-60 in under three seconds.
Speedway bikes and quads will be modified to compete in the indoor ice arena. There are over 2000 metal studs added to the tires and there are no brakes on the bikes.
Ice Racing consists of heats where riders earn points to qualify for the Main (final race) Qualifying. Heats consist of four riders racing handlebar-to-handlebar for four laps. The main event consists of six riders for six laps.
