5th annual Wreaths Across America ceremony in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The public is invited to attend the 5th annual Wreaths Across America ceremony in South Lake Tahoe on Saturday, December 16 at Happy Homestead Cemetery. The Lake Tahoe Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will host the event beginning at 9 a.m.
The purpose of Wreaths Across America is to honor active military personnel, veterans, and first responders. In South Lake Tahoe, wreaths will be laid at the Memorial Wall during the ceremony to honor each of these groups.
The ceremony will include participation from DAR chapter members, American Legion Post 795, the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, the US Coast Guard, Veteran’s Affairs Commissioner Gary Norton, District 5 Supervisor Brooke Laine, Gold Star Mother Patty Smith, DAR Community Service Award Recipient Chris Sneed, Cemetery Director Adria Nkala, and members of the South Lake Tahoe Police Department and Fire and Rescue departments. Music accompaniment will be by musician Maria De Lallo.
