El Dorado County Commission on Aging seeks new members

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - The El Dorado County Commission on Aging currently is accepting applications from interested residents for two vacant commissioners. The Commission strives to attain a balanced geographic representation and applicants are sought from all areas of the county, including South Lake Tahoe. Preference is given to individuals aged 60 years and older.

The Commission on Aging is an advisory Committee to the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors. The Commission also works with the County’s Director of the local Area Agency on Aging on community interests and issues faced by seniors in El Dorado County. This includes but is not limited to, developing community centers in strategic areas of the county to make services accessible to all seniors. The group also promotes services that prevent elder abuse and help seniors to remain in their homes.
