U.S. casino operator Eldorado Resorts Inc of Reno has agreed to merge with Caesars Entertainment Corp in a cash and stock deal that values its peer at about $18 billion including debt, people familiar with the matter told Reuters on Sunday.

LAKE TAHOE, Nev. - While most gambling markets in the state of Nevada saw slight decreases in reported revenues, both the south and north shores of Lake Tahoe saw double-digit decreases in the month of April when compared to 2018.

The South Shore casinos had a 12.54 percent drop in their "gaming win" figures and the North Shore dropped 16.13 percent. The South Shore's $13,064,449 in reported win is $1,873,766 less than the same month in 2018. On the North Shore, their $1,299,849 in gaming win is $249,905 less than last year.

STATELINE, Nevada - Casinos on both the north and south ends Lake Tahoe saw a gain in revenue in March 2019 according to figures released by the Nevada Gaming Control board.

Revenue on the South Shore was $15,913,477, up 9.16 percent from the same month a year ago when revenue was $14,577,529. On the North Shore, their reported revenue of $2,085,064 was up 2.2 percent from March 2018.

Nicola "Niki" Congero, the former Lake Tahoe Humane Society (LTHS) executive director accused of embezzlement, is now sitting in the El Dorado County Jail in Placerville.

On Sunday, August 19, 2018, the El Dorado County Sheriff's extradition team returned from Knoxville, Tennessee with Congero. Harrah's Tahoe and Harveys will be putting into place a new year-round parking policy, much as the other properties in the Caesars Entertainment family, starting July 30, 2018. It will now cost to park when going to the casino for food and entertainment, gambling and events.

Last year the two casinos started charging for parking during special events and concerts at the outdoor arena, then this year Harrah's started to block parking for Heavenly Village and kept out those not utilizing the casino.

Gaming revenue for the State of Nevada during the month of April was up 7.5 percent in 2018, bringing in a "win" of $953,698,753 to casinos in the state according to figures released Thursday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

Inclement weather has delayed the completion of work on the damaged NV Energy underground electrical vault on Highway 50 at Stateline to Friday, June 1. They had originally planned for work to be completed on May 17.

The road has been paved with a temporary patch and both westbound lanes will remain open to traffic until permanent paving begins on Wednesday, May 30. Eastbound lanes will remain open during the course of work.
