Most of you know I haven’t been a fan of hybrids, but that’s changing and this new Honda Accord Hybrid has put me over the edge, it’s the first hybrid I have ever driven you can’t tell the transition from electric to gas or even start-up that it is a hybrid. The only clue is the phenomenal fuel economy, extreme quiet and ethereal smoothness. You simply can’t feel the integration of the gas motor coming on line. I would buy this hybrid for this and so many other reasons.

Letter: No on T people are desperate
Submitted by paula on Sat, 10/27/2018 - 7:13pmDesperation – a state of despair, typically one that results in rash or extreme behavior.
This must be the mental state of those opposed to Measure T. The fear mongering they are resorting too has reached an all-time low. They are claiming voting YES on Measure T will: Cost us hundreds of million in lost revenue, the loss of the entire VHR TOT, cancel the Recreation Center project, cause the fire department to respond less quickly, etc… These people apparently have no shame in their desperation to sway the local voters from forcing VHRs to operate in areas where they are zoned.

Wildfire knows no season, be Ember Aware year-round
Submitted by paula on Fri, 09/14/2018 - 1:12pmLAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev. - Cooler temperatures and changing colors of the leaves remind us that autumn has arrived, but keep in mind that fire danger is very high this time of year. Vegetation that can feed a wildfire has had all summer to dry out and is ready to burn. Fall provides the perfect opportunity to check areas where burning embers might accumulate near your home or on your property during a wildfire. The places where pine needles and leaves pile up also tend to be where embers would accumulate during a fire.

After a month, the boy came home and said casually, "By the way, Dad, I learned what Trinity means! It means 'The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.'"
