EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - Films, commercials, and television shows are shot all over South Lake Tahoe and the rest of El Dorado County, and many times the local film industry needs the help of the community to fill positions from catering to actors.
To learn how you can be part of the lights, camera, and action, plan on attending the El Dorado Lake Tahoe Film & Media Office annual "I Love Film Mixer" on Friday, March 22 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds in Placerville.
It is free to attend. There will be food, wine, and beer tasting and an El Dorado Chamber of Commerce Business Showcase.
Celebrate the local film industry through networking. Film crewmembers, producers, directors, talent, vendors and the community are invited to learn more. Before the film starts rolling those in charge need caterers, hairdressers, motels and hotels, cars and so much more. By attending one can find out the endless possibilities.
The guest speaker, Sheriffs El Dorado Executive Producer Michael Dennis, will be on stage at 6:00 p.m.
Contact the film and media office at 530.621.5885 for more information.
There will be a networking reception following this event at Kobe Sushi & Fusion at 3300 Coach Lane in Cameron Park.
