Event Date:
February 25, 2020 - 1:00pm

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - City Council will be meeting at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday to review their 2019 list of priorities including the City motto, vision and core values, and see if anything needs to be added or modified.

In February 2019, the City Council and key City staff participated in a full-day
strategic planning session. The outcome of this session was the creation of an outline for a new Council Priorities and Objectives document that articulated the City’s Motto, Vision, and Core Values. The Council also developed a set of 13 draft Priorities and 45 Key Objectives that they expected to be accomplished over the next 12 to 36 months. In July of last year, the Council finalized the strategic plan as part of the FY 2019 - 20 budget process. The Council’s Priorities and Objectives guided the staff in the resource allocation and expenditure recommendations they made to Council in the draft budget.

Now that they will start the next year's budget process it is time to revisit the strategic plan which is never a stagnant plan, but one that can be adjusted as time goes on.

The session will visit each priority:
