Spring starts on Saturday, rain and snow return Sunday

High pressure off the California coast will be moving slowly inland, bringing continued dry weather and generally light winds with a steady warming trend through Saturday.

The warm temperatures and clear skies will move out and make way for cooler temperatures and gusty winds. The next chance for precipitation returns Sunday into Tuesday as a storm moves through northern California and northern Nevada.

Spring officially arrives on Saturday, March 19 at 9:30 p.m. PDT. This is the time when there is approximately 12 hours of daylight across the globe and the sun rises and sets due east and west.
