Message from Sierra: Spring has sprung, and I can't think of a better way to celebrate than at Sierra with some fun laps and good vibes! This morning we're getting started at 8:30 am spinning 12 lifts with 46 open trails and 34 cords. NOAA is forecasting highs in the lower 40's and some gusty Southeast winds with partly sunny skies. Today may technically be the first day of Spring, but Old Man Winter is still putting up a good fight and we are expecting some snow over the next few days! Be prepared for varied conditions as the storm rolls in today. Hopefully everyone had a chance to check out the Vans High Standard Series yesterday, because today you have a chance to try the features for yourself! Facebook message from Kirkwood: Looking to be a variable day on the mountain. Possibility for rain and gusty winds after 11am. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect 11am Monday- 5am Tuesday stating: "Periods of snow expected from Monday into Tuesday".
