Shakespeare Festival, Thunderbird Lodge picked as top five places to visit in Reno-Tahoe

The votes are in and the people have spoken. The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival and the Thunderbird Lodge were picked by readers in a contest sponsored by the Nevada Commission on Tourism as two among five favorite "Hidden Treasure" (places to visit) in the Reno, Carson City and Lake Tahoe region.
Five treasures have been identified for each of Nevada’s six territories: Reno-Tahoe, Cowboy Country, Pony Express, Nevada Silver Trails, Las Vegas, and Indian Territory. Topping out the five in the Reno-Tahoe area are Artown in Reno, Dangberg Ranch Historic Park in Minden and the National Championship Air Races in Reno. From the list of five, two places will be selected by readers in the contest and then it will be narrowed down to two places in all of Nevada. Voting continues. To vote go here:
