Ready for another wet and cold week?

The next low pressure system will move into California tomorrow, bringing showers and high elevation snow to the Sierra and western Nevada through Monday according to the National Weather Service in Reno.
Up to 6 inches of snow may accumulate above 8,000 feet, with wet roads for those traveling over I-80 and US-50. Snow could impact travel over the Mt Rose Highway and the higher passes in Alpine and Mono Counties.
More rain is on tap for the valleys with total rainfall amounts up to 0.50 inch. Could be enough rain to cut back on watering your lawn this week.
Saturday - Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 53. West wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Tonight- Isolated showers and thunderstorms before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Sunday - A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 54. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Sunday Night - Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 11pm, then a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 37. West wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Monday - A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 51. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Monday Night - A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm, then a slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Tuesday - A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 52. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
