COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - There have been four new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in El Dorado County since Friday, two in the Lake Tahoe region and two in El Dorado Hills. Of the new cases, one is male, three are female, three are aged 18-49 and one is in the 50-64 age group.

Four more recoveries were announced by health officials, bringing the total to 95. There remain 22 active cases. There are no hospitalizations at Barton or Marshall at this time but there are four patients in the ICU with suspected cases according to Public Tableau.

425 new tests were administered in the County.

There have been 54 cases in the Lake Tahoe area (including South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, Strawberry, and Tahoma).

Quad-Counties - Carson City, Douglas, Storey, Lyon

Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS) is reporting 16 new positive cases and one additional recovery of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region since Friday. This brings the total number of cases to 262, with 185 recoveries and seven deaths, 70 cases remain active.

The new cases are:
• A male Douglas County resident in his 50’s with connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Carson City resident in his 40’s with connection a previously reported case.
• A male Carson City resident under the age of 18 with connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Carson City resident in her 50’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Douglas County resident in his 40’s with connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Douglas County resident under the age of 18 with connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Douglas County resident under the age of 18 with connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Lyon County resident in her 30’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Carson City resident under the age of 18 with connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Carson City resident under the age of 18 with connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Douglas County resident in her 50’s with connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Douglas County resident in his 80’s with connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Carson City resident in his 50’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Carson City resident in her 50’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Carson City resident under the age of 18 with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Douglas County resident in her 50’s, it is unknown if she has connection to a previously reported case.

Carson City Health and Human Services is working to identify close risk contacts to prevent further spread of the disease. Due to medical privacy requirements and to protect their identity, no further information about the cases will be released

22 of the confirmed cases to date are in Incline Village with 3 active ones, and one recovered case in Crystal Bay.

There have been 46 new cases of confirmed COVID-19 in Placer County since Friday six of those in the Lake Tahoe area.

Deaths - 9 (+0)
Negative test results - 16,059 (+1,219)
Recoveries = 230 (+22)

Nevada County

There have been three new reported cases of COVID-19 since Friday.

Confirmed cases - 55 (+3) with 41 (+3) in the East County (Truckee)
Recovered - 50 (+2)
Active Cases - 4 (+1)
