Robin Williams to perform live at MontBleu Resort Lake Tahoe during American Century Championship weekend

Academy Award-winning actor, comedian and multiple Grammy Award-winning performer Robin Williams will appear at Lake Tahoe South Shore's MontBleu Resort, Casino & Spa for two nights of performances July 20-21, dovetailing with the American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe.
Williams will be appearing along with David Steinberg. Tickets will go on sale, soon, at all Ticketmaster Outlets, on-line at www.ticketmaster.com or at MontBleu.
The announcement was made via PR Entertainment through Facebook on Friday and the Tahoe Daily Tribune.

Well known for his free-associative monologues and for pointing out life's absurdities through his astute social and political observations, Williams performed 90 shows in 65 cities before 300,000 fans over the course of his most recent stand-up tour. Born in Chicago and raised in both Michigan and California, he trained at New York's Juilliard School under John Houseman.
After four seasons of television starring in "Mork & Mindy", Williams made his cinematic debut in 1980 when he starred as the title character in Robert Altman's "Popeye." His additional film credits include "The World According to Garp", "Moscow on the Hudson", "Good Morning Vietnam", "Dead Poets Society", "The Fisher King", "Mrs. Doubtfire", "Jumanji", "The Birdcage", "Good Will Hunting", "Patch Adams" and "Night at the Museum."
He has toured the Middle East four times to help raise morale among the troops and is perhaps best known philanthropically for his affiliation with "Comic Relief" which was founded in 1986 as a non-profit organization to help America's homeless. To date, the overall efforts of the "Comic Relief" organization have raised over $50 million.
The American Century Championship runs from July 17-22 at Edgewood Tahoe. More than 80 celebrities and sports stars including Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, John Elway, Tony Romo and Ray Romano will play in the tournament, broadcast live on NBC Sports July 21-22.
Along with Williams at MontBleu, lively entertainment will hit the South Shore for the weekend. At the Harveys Outdoor Arena will be Maroon 5 on Saturday, July 21, and an all-star 80s billing on Sunday, July 22, that will feature Pat Benatar, Journey and Loverboy.
