Douglas County hit and run victim identified

A Gardnerville resident has been identified as the victim in Saturday's fatal hit and run accident in Minden, Nevada.
21-year-old Roberto Palomar-Espinoza was killed after being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Fremont Street and Johnson Lane. Nevada Highway Patrol and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at 5:00 a.m. and found the victim in the street with significant physical trauma.
The investigation is still ongoing. NHP and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office want to speak to any witnesses or anyone who knows information about this crime.
