A single car crash in Alpine County Monday afternoon claimed the life of a Nevada man.
At 3:30 p.m. on July 3, the driver of a Ford pickup was headed east on Airport Road one mile east of State Route 89 in Markleeville, Calif. For an unknown reason the car drifted off of the paved portion of the road and onto the shoulder. The pickup and driver went down a steep dirt embankment and overturned onto it's roof. It was a single crash.
The unidentified 61-year-old male driver was from Moundhouse, Nev. No alcohol appears to be involved.
