Letter: El Dorado County residents need to attend VHR meeting Thursday
Submitted by paula on Wed, 07/25/2018 - 4:07pm
The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors (Ad Hoc Committee) will be meeting the public tomorrow, July 26, at the Magnet School in Meyers at 5:30 p.m.
This VHR meeting is especially important since this Board already voted yesterday in Placerville on VHR Ordinance changes that affect everyone in the County South Lake Tahoe area.
These new Ordinance changes are outline here under attachments – VHR Conceptual - Item #1 :
Our group members ( Tahoe Residents First ) have been attempting to negotiate realistic Ordinance revisions with this Board to bring genuine relief to local residents suffering VHR nuisances.
This latest Ordinance revision falls way short of providing any relief to residents what so ever. The Board’s changes completely ignore measures for restrictions and enforcement. It basically preserves a purposely vague VHR Program for the Board’s pleasure of collecting Transient Occupancy Tax.
Local Residents in the County of South Lake Tahoe absolutely need to attend this meeting to voice their concern of this Board’s indifference to the needs of local resident’s right to enjoy peace on their properties. This Board of Supervisors may believe they’re done for now – But WE ARE NOT !
