South Tahoe Middle School holding "Kickstart" day for all students

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - With the start of the new school year rapidly approaching, students are not only getting their back to school shopping, but they are also wondering who their teachers will be, what buses to ride, and other important information.

South Tahoe Middle School is holding "Kickstart" on Thursday, August 22. It will be a day dedicated to giving out class schedules, taking school pictures, getting identification cards and tables full of information from the school and community for students and parents.

Two hours are dedicated to each group, depending on their last name. Students can arrive any time within this two-hour block:

TIME....................STUDENT’S LAST NAME:

8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m....... A - F

10:00 a.m. to noon...........G - O

12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m....Closed for Lunch

1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.........P - Z

Plan on around 15-20 minutes to pick up schedules, take pictures and pick up their ID card..7th- & 8th-grade students can purchase PE clothes as well.

WEB Orientation: WEB orientation is for ALL incoming 6th-grade students, is Friday, August 23 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. This is a fun-filled morning packed with student-led games, campus tours and helping the students get acquainted with each other and their new WEB leader.

WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) is an amazing orientation and transition program with student mentors helping guide the sixth-grade students throughout the year to help with being successful in Middle School.

FOR WEB LEADERS ONLY: Web leader training will be held on Monday, August 19 and Tuesday, August 20 from 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. On Friday, August 23 for the WEB Orientation, leaders will need to be on campus from 8:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. STMS thanks all of their fabulous WEB Leaders!
