Adventurers look to Desolation Wilderness to raise money for humanitarian projects

Lake Tahoe training partners and friends Dusty Wunderlich, Scott Parlett and Brandon Caskey enjoy the challenge of pushing themselves in the great outdoors and have decided to take on a big feat as ambassadors to raise money for grass roots humanitarians projects through Lake Tahoe-based Growing WorldWide Opportunity Foundation.
On Sept. 1, the three will attempt the Desolation Death March, a grueling 26-mile hike in the Lake Tahoe Desolation Wilderness that includes topping out eight peaks over 9,000 feet and climbing a total of 11,000 total vertical feet. The kicker is the three will be attempting this in one push over a 14 to 18 hours. The three adventurers are not doing this completely for fun though, they have taken on the role of GWOF Ambassadors to raise money for the humanitarian projects that GWOF supports.
For those that want to support the three Ambassador’s efforts for a good cause there are two donation amounts — $26 for the amount of miles the Ambassadors will complete or $8 for the amount of peaks the Ambassadors will summit. Go here for more information.
