Volunteers Needed for Lake in the Sky Air Show

Volunteer some time and see the 22nd annual Lake in the Sky Air Show for free. Not a bad deal. Organizers of the air show say they're still in need of a few more volunteers.
Volunteer Opportunities Include:
— Assist with crowd control during K-9 dog demonstration

— Welcome Tent for General Public (answer questions for visitors)
— Welcome Tent for Pilots (answer questions for pilots & get them checked in for air show)
— Monitor North End Entrance (will be provided master list of vendors and volunteers to allow access to back area parking)
— Coordinate Vendor Parking
— Monitoring the access door on the 1st floor of the building (from the interior of the building)

The volunteer shifts for Saturday, August 27th are:
7 am – 11 am
8 am – 12 pm
10 am – 2 pm
12 pm – 4 pm
*** Also available in 2 hour shifts – please advise of your availability.

If you're interested, please email Tracy Franklin, community outreach volunteer coordinator for the city of South Lake Tahoe at tfranklin@cityofslt.us and tell her which activity you prefer and your time commitment. All volunteers will be meeting at 5 p.m. this Friday, Aug. 26 at the Lake Tahoe Airport, at 1901 Airport Rd. The meeting willl discuss volunteer duties and details for the day of the air show. Additionally, your admission to the air show on Saturday, August 27th is free and you're welcome to enjoy the show and local vendors after your volunteer time slot, said Franklin.
