Event Date:
September 6, 2023 - 6:30pm

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Tahoe Chamber is hosting a “State of Education” Town Hall on Wednesday, September 6 at the Tahoe Beach Retreat Conference Center in South Lake Tahoe, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Dr. Todd Cutler, superintendent of the Lake Tahoe Unified School District will present the “State of the District” covering the District’s vision, mission and goals, educational programs, community and educational partnerships, facilities and transportation services, and the District’s budgetary challenges.

“We’re fortunate to have education from pre-K through elementary, high school, and into college here on the south shore,” said Tahoe Chamber CEO Mike Glover. “But we can’t take what we have for granted. We must understand the state of our schools and how we can best provide business, community, and student family input, and support. Quality education is a fundamental building block for life.”

The second part of this timely Town Hall will be an overview of the South Tahoe High School/Lake Tahoe Community College “Dual Enrollment” program, presented by Adam Eynon, LTCC’s Dual Enrollment Grant Manager.

Through the dual enrollment program, LTUSD high school students can take college courses that count for both high school graduation requirements and college credit.

Members of the community, along with parents and families with students in the Lake Tahoe Unified School District are invited to attend the Town Hall in person at the Tahoe Beach Retreat Conference Center at 3411 Lake Tahoe Boulevard. The program will also be available via live stream and recorded for later playback. For more information, contact info@tahoechamber.org.
