El Dorado County Employment Resource Center reopens in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - After closing in May 2019 for much-needed repairs, the El Dorado County Employment Resource Center n South Lake Tahoe has reopened to the public.

Repairs completed include carpet replacement, minor mold remediation and painting.

The Employment Resource Center provides free job assistance services to El Dorado County residents who are looking for jobs or want to improve their job readiness skills. There is no income requirement to use the Center.

The Employment Resource Center provides the following services for members of the public at no charge:

• Computers with internet access
• Information on how to apply for unemployment benefits
• Online job listings
• Access to fax machine and phone
• Free workshops on topics such as writing a resume, interview skills, job search techniques and job readiness
• Library of career, training, and employment books
• Career assessments and exploration of tools
• Accuracy and speed typing tests with typing certificates
• Information on other community services and resources

The Employment Resource Center office is located in Suite 102 at the El Dorado Center, 3368 Lake Tahoe Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe, and is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. To reach the Employment Resource Center, please call (530) 573-4330.
