2nd annual Witch Costume Paddle at Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - It’s that time of year again - the 2nd annual Witch Costume Paddle Session! It will be held on Saturday, October 7 at the Beach Retreat and Lodge in South Lake Tahoe. Last year over 200 people participated with at least 80 on boards and kayaks. Organizers want to make this year bigger and better.

The schedule for Saturday, October 7:
(weather permitting)

1 p.m. - Meet and greet and grab a drink! Blow up your paddles and eat a treat
2 p.m. - Launch and paddle
2:30 p.m. - Group photo
4 p.m. - Costume contests (This means women/men/children/pets!!!)

Parking is not allowed in the hotel's parking lot so use other parking locations. Organizers suggest dropping off your board/kayak first, then you can park. The Tiki Bar will be open to us.

Bring your own board or more if you’d like to share. Please wear a witch costume even if it’s basic! Bring friends, kids, dogs, please!

DOGS MUST BE ON A LEASH WHEN ON THE BEACH!

Organizers are trying to keep it only paddle boards but understand some people are not physically able. Bring a kayak if you’re respectful of the people paddling closer to shore! If you’d like to dress up and join people on the beach that would be fantastic support.

If you’d like to donate a costume prize as a business please let Kelsey know at kelsey-adams@live.com, or people have been Venmoing her to help purchase items for the event. Everything is appreciated.

There will also be people taking photos and filming so please be aware of this - if it makes you uncomfortable please do not attend. Please make sure to abide by local laws and have life jackets present and on children.

The Turn has also said they will host another after-party for participants so continue the fun and join, This will be for adults only.
