V&T Halloween Spirit Train: A fundraiser to help cancer patients, caregivers

Take part in a special evening of historic trains, spirits (beer, wine), music, and special treats for adults 21 years of age and older to help local cancer patients and their caregivers.

The non-profit foundation, Empowered Lives through the Cancer Journey, housed at the Sierra Nevada Cancer Center, is hosting this adults-only fundraising event – an evening of Halloween fun and gaiety. The event is scheduled for October 19, 2013 at 6 p.m., at the V&T Railroad, F Street Station in Virginia City.

Tickets are $55 per individual or $100 for two (bring a date or a friend) and include train ride, music and refreshments. Costumes are encouraged and special room rates available. Empowered Lives through the Cancer Journey is a non-profit organization established to support, encourage, and empower both the patient and their caregivers throughout their cancer treatment.
