V&T Halloween Spirit Train: A fundraiser to help cancer patients, caregivers

Take part in a special evening of historic trains, spirits (beer, wine), music, and special treats for adults 21 years of age and older to help local cancer patients and their caregivers.

The non-profit foundation, Empowered Lives through the Cancer Journey, housed at the Sierra Nevada Cancer Center, is hosting this adults-only fundraising event – an evening of Halloween fun and gaiety. The event is scheduled for October 19, 2013 at 6 p.m., at the V&T Railroad, F Street Station in Virginia City.

Tickets are $55 per individual or $100 for two (bring a date or a friend) and include train ride, music and refreshments. Costumes are encouraged and special room rates available. All profits go directly to helping cancer patients and caregivers. Tickets and more information can be found by going here.

Empowered Lives through the Cancer Journey is a non-profit organization established to support, encourage, and empower both the patient and their caregivers throughout their cancer treatment.
