American Legion closing for renovations; In need of donations

American Legion Post 795 is going through a time of positive change, and we ask you to bear with us through the transition. We have elected an energetic new Board, created a full House and Grounds Committee, and are adding new members almost daily to the Legion Post and Auxiliary. With more involved members, we have found much to be done. A visit from our District Commander brought other requirements to light that must now be accomplished.

We are long overdue for a house cleaning and renovation. We are reaching out to the community to ask for donations of paint, carpet, painting supplies such as brushes and rollers, and floor coverings, including linoleum and carpet. They need not be new, but should be in good condition. We also need florescent overhead tube style lights and cleaning supplies.

Because of the extensive work to be done, the American Legion Post will be closing to the public from October 6th to October 20th. Exceptions will be made for the Auxiliary Rummage Sale on October 10th, 11th, and 12th. We have tried to determine and take into consideration any bookings, but the calendar needs to be organized as well.

We do plan to reopen with a public mixer and an introduction to our new high stakes electronic bingo program. If you have questions about any use of the building or wish to donate supplies, please contact RJ at 775/901-1302, or Ken at 530/307-1092.

Respectfully,
Larry Spencer, Commander
