Actor seriously injured in single vehicle rollover in Northern Nevada

Nathaniel Marston, 40, the former star of soap operas One Life to Live and As the World Turns, was seriously injured in a single vehicle rollover accident in Northern Nevada on Friday, October 30.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, Marston was driving a blue 1985 Ford F-150 pickup southbound on SR447 when he allowed the truck to drift across the northbound travel lane and enter the east dirt shoulder. The vehicle then rotated and overturned multiple times. The vehicle came to rest on the west side of SR447 on its wheels facing west. Marston was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle during the course of the crash.

Marston was transported by Care Flight to a local area Hospital where he remains with critical injuries. His mother Elizabeth Jackson, also of Gerlach, posted on her facebook page that her son is undergoing surgery on Monday afternoon. Reports from Jackson and out of Hollywood say Marston is currently paralyzed from the neck down.

Thousands of fans have been leaving their prayers of support on both Nathaniel's and his mother's social media accounts.

This area of SR447 is a two lane highway with one lane in either direction. The speed limit is 70 mph.

Trooper Robert Nivarel and Trooper Mike Gocke of the Nevada Highway Patrol’s Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (MIRT) are investigating this incident.
