Community kicks off holidays with "Light Up Lake Tahoe"

The City of South Lake Tahoe is encouraging all businesses that line Highway 50 to decorate their store fronts for the upcoming holidays.
On Saturday, December 5, the City's Fire, Police and Snow Removal departments will be decorated and head to the "Y" along Highway 50 from Stateline, starting at 6 p.m. As in years past, they wat to see businesses turn on their lights as the procession goes by, creating a wave of light through South Lake Tahoe.
The festivities will conclude at the “Y” with the annual tree lighting, along with hot cocoa and cookies and hopefully a visit from Santa Claus!
