South Tahoe Girls Soccer Team is #1 in State

November 16, 2013: This just in: The South Tahoe High School girl's soccer team has won the Nevada State 1-A Championship! In Friday's first round action the Lady Vikings beat Faith Luthern by a score of 2-1 which brought them to today's championship round against Pahrump Valley. South Tahoe was victorious by a score of 3-2 and is crowned state champ.

In other state tournament action, the Whittell Warriors had both their girls and boys teams make it to state and played the first round's games on Friday in Fernley. The Boys team lost a tough game to Incline in overtime, 3-2. Incline then went on to win the state championship.

The girl's team from Whittell won their first game on Friday over Adelson School quite decisively by a score of 10-0. They lost the championship game today to Incline in overtime, 1-0.
