Strong winds are expected Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Southwest winds 30-45 moh with gusts up to 65 mph. Ridge gusts will be up to 125 mph! Damage to trees is possible.

Snow starts at the 8,000 ft level on Wednesday night, falling to below 5,000 feet by early Thursday afternoon.

Expect snow and blowing snow with whiteout conditions and icy roads. Snowfall rates will exceed plowing capabilities at times according to the NWS. This includes Highways 50, 80, 88, 89, 267, 207 and 431. Significant delays and dangerous winter weather conditions are possible for back country activities.
