The unidentified man was driving his vehicle on eastbound US50, east of Slippery Ford Road at an unsafe speed according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Due to his high rate of speed speed in the curvy section of the road he could not maintain his position within the traffic lane and lost control.

The driver continued to travel straight as the roadway curved to the left and the right rear of his 2007 Ford struck the wood and metal guardrail on the south side of the highway. The car then struck a sign and a reflective roadway marker as it continued to travel in a southeasterly direction and rolled over on the rock embankment located. During the rollover, the driver was fully ejected and landed on the rock embankment. The Ford then came to rest on its wheels (the left front wheel was on the driver's right hand), facing in a northeasterly direction, south of US-50, and east of Slippery Ford Road.

He was transported to Renown in Reno. There are no further details avaialble at this time.
