COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El DOrado County health officials are reporting another 13 positive cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, July 14. Of those new cases, six are in the Lake Tahoe Region, three in each El Dorado Hills and Placerville, and one in North County. Ten females and three males make up this group with one under the age of 18, five aged 18-49, five aged 50-64 and two aged 65 and older.

305 new tests were conducted with eight recovers and currently 156 active cases.

There has been a reduction of one person in the hospital, leaving two in the ICU. There are no suspected cases hospitalized.

County-wide there have been 350 cases with 170 of those in the Lake Tahoe area (including South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, Strawberry, and Tahoma).

Quad-Counties - Carson City, Douglas, Storey, Lyon

Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS) is reporting fourteen new positive cases and five additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 474, with 322 recoveries and eight deaths, 144 cases remain active.

The new cases are:
• A female Carson City resident in her 20’s with a connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Douglas County resident in his 60’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Carson City resident in her 30’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Douglas County resident in her 20’s with a recent travel history to California.
• A male Douglas County resident in his 70’s with a connection to out of state visitors.
• A female Carson City resident in her 60’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Douglas County resident in her 50’s with a recent travel history to Idaho.
• A female Carson City resident under the age of 18 with a connection to a previous case.
• A male Douglas County resident in his 30’s with a recent travel history to California.
• A female Lyon County resident in her 50’s with a social connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Lyon County resident in his 70’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Douglas County resident in his 30’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Carson City resident in her 20’s who was exposed at work.
• A male Carson City resident in his 30’s with a connection to a previously reported case.

Carson City Health and Human Services is working to identify close risk contacts to prevent further spread of the disease. Due to medical privacy requirements and to protect their identity, no further information about the cases will be released.

Washoe County

The Regional Information Center is reporting 27 new COVID-19 cases and two new deaths in Washoe County since Monday.

50 (+2) of the confirmed cases to date are in Incline Village with 13 (+2) active ones, and one recovered case in Crystal Bay.

Placer County

There have been 37 new cases of confirmed COVID-19 in Placer County since Monday, with none of those new cases in the Lake Tahoe area.
