STHS tackle Logan Langemeier headed to Jacksonville University

South Tahoe High offensive tackle Logan Langemeier will be wearing the green and white of the Jacksonville University Dolphins football team this fall.

During an official signing ceremony at the school Wednesday, the 6'4" 240 pound senior credited his mom and his training for getting him to this point.

A football player since the age of eight, Logan said he tried soccer but fell in love with football through Pop Warner.

By age 10, Logan said he started his commitment to be the best player he could be. "The most crucial part of training is strength and power," said Logan. He trains in the school's Strength and Conditioning room. When he left the country on a family vacation he came back to this room and did double time to make up for lost time.

Through his strength and conditioning program he plans to put another 20 pounds on his tall frame by summer, something Jacksonville would like to see.

There are no sports scholarships at Jacksonville so Logan hopes to earn academic scholarhips. The two-sport athlete (he is also on the Alpine Ski Team) has a 3.8 GPA and plans on studying Business Finance in college.

The school is in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) and are members of the Pioneer Football League.
