Northstar plans group wedding on the slopes for Valentine's Day

Looking for a unique way to celebrate Valentine's Day in Lake Tahoe? Planning on getting married but haven't had time to put your wedding ceremony together?

Northstar California Resort is inviting skiers and snowboarders to say "I Do" at a unique celebration of love. Dubbed Ski, tōst & be Married, the group wedding ceremony on the mountain is a first for the North Lake Tahoe resort.

On Saturday, February 14, the daily commemorative tōst celebration at 2 p.m. on East Ridge will set the stage for anyone interested in professing their love, renewing their vows, or sealing the deal and becoming legally married.

Wedding participants should ski or ride down East Ridge run, just past the top of the Rendezvous chair lift by 1:45 p.m. as Northstar’s officiant leads participants in an exchange of vows. Following the ceremony, guests will share a tōst at 2:00 p.m. while EpicMix photographers capture the special occasion.

Following an afternoon of skiing and snowboarding, the newlyweds will be celebrated at a reception in The Village at Northstar, featuring specials on signature cocktails from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the rink-side Cabana Bars. The celebration will continue until 8:30 p.m. with live music, ice skating and relaxing in the lounge area by fire pits.
