Bicyclist OK after being hit by SUV

A bicyclist escaped serious injuries after being hit by an SUV, which then left the scene of the accident Saturday on Mt. Rose Highway in North Lake Tahoe, the Nevada Highway Patrol reports.
The accident happened near Golfers Pass Road. According to witnesses, an SUV, possibly silver or blue, with California plates was traveling westbound on on Mt. Rose Highway. The vehicle veered right, crossing the fog line, and stuck a cyclist.
The SUV continued to travel westbound from Golfers Pass Road. The rider, from Jackson, Wyoming, was transported to Incline Village Community Hospital. She was later released with non-life threatening injuries.
