Letter: Bread and Broth 4 Kids expands summer food program

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Summer B&B 4 Kids program is up and running thanks to a generous donation by Vail CEO Robert Katz and his wife Elana Amsterdam. This free summer food program is bringing smiles and excitement to local children as they pick and choose their favorite breakfast, fruits, snacks and dinner foods from the baskets full for food at St. Theresa Grace Hall every Wednesday. The biggest smiles come from the special treats of ice cream, cupcakes or chocolate chip cookies that the Bread & Broth and Vail Resort volunteers give to each child as they finish filling their bags.

The Summer B&B 4 Kids program provides free food to children up to the age of 18 every Wednesday all summer through August 23 at St. Theresa Grace Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Starting Wednesday, July 26, the program will expand to providing free bags of food and treats at Tahoe Valley Elementary from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. by Vail Resort employees and B&B volunteers.

B&B encourages all parents and children to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to make sure every child in the South Lake Tahoe community does not feel hunger this summer.

To get the food bags kids must be present.
